I have been using DVD Maker with no problem up untill now the program closes
and I get a DEP error. No new software or hardwear have been introduced into
the system with the exception of a recent Microsoft Update. To assure myself
it's not the file I'm trying to record I attempted to re-record a previous
project of the same file type and I still get the DEP error and auto
shut-down of the program. I am using the Vista Ultimate 32bit.
Anyone have any ideas??

Might be worth a try to do a System Restore
to a time before the issue began.
