When transferring files and settings from WinXP Pro SP2, the wizard failed to
write to my DVD drive, so I saved to a hard drive and copied the .MIG file to
DVD using Nero DVD utilities.
On Vista, I double click the DVD file and the wizard starts, but keeps
asking me for the first disk I created. It only alows selection of a DVD or
CD drive and doesn't recognize the disk already in the drive or if I reinsert
the disk. Since I dual boot with XP I wanted to try selecting the .MIG file
on the hard drive.
If I start the wizard first, I take the following steps:
Next
Start New transfer
I'm using the new computer
No, more options (DVD)
Yes, installed
No, DVD
Dialog box saying to copy WET to old computer
(Also, for some reason the Back arrow is inactive)
Alternatively, at the "Yes, installed" step if I choose that Vista is on the
old computer, I get to the same end dialog.
My .MIG file is 3GB+.
What to do?
