Windows Easy Transfer won't

I'm trying to transfer files and stuff from my old PC with XP to my new
notebook with Vista. I have established a network between the two computers.
I made an Easy Transfer program disk in Vista, but it won't run on my PC.
Some files loaded but the program won't start. Help!

Easiest way is to burn your data to CD, or copy to mem stick and/or external
hard drive.
Reinstall programs from original media, or re-download.(you have to)

Manually redo your settings on new comp.

I've seen this website, but it doesn't address my question. Please re-read
my original post. I still have to get WET to run on my old computer. Thank
you.
