Windows Explorer & Svc Pk2

Last week I installed XP Service pack 2. Afterwards, a window popped up that
said it was blocking Windows Explorer. After a couple of days I unblocked
it. Why would it block windows explorer. Isn't it a basic part of my
program?
I also had to unblock Earthlink task panel. Is it unsafe to unblock either
of these items?

sounds like you need to read the directions, it is blocking pop up windows,
most are annoying.
