Windows explorer becomes non-responsive in cartain folders

hello people ive been having this wierd VERY ANNOYING problem scents XP i
think. i have a file on my PC that is exactly 33.5 GB and every time i open
it 15 - 40 sceonds after i open that file windows explorer becomes
non-responsive this problem has presisted to the point that i cannot even
scrool to a folder to wacth the videos in it. does anyone have any idea or
clue as to what might be going on plez give advice I WANT TO LOOK FOR MY
VIDEOS WITH OUT INTERUPTION!!

I'm not sure what you mean by "scents XP"....
You are running Vista, right?
Do you mean you have a "folder" that has 33.5 GB of files in it?
A 33.5 GB file is HUUUUUGE.
Is this folder on your internal hard drive, or on an external or network
drive?

I have a few folders containing videos that total more than 40 GB, and these
folders open instantly.

yeah im running Vista and i ment that i think that i had this problem when i
was running XP and yup the file is 33.5 GB in my internal HDD
