I'm working with the 64bit version of Vista Home Premium. I believe I am
using the 32 bit version of Windows Explorer (as opposed to the 'Internet
Explorer (64-bit)'.

I am not able to correct 2 very irritating problems with Windows Explorer.

1) I've configured Explorer as follows:
- present folders/files in[list] mode
- do NOT remember each folder's view settings
I then click on the [Apply To Folders] options so that all folders are
viewed the same way. These settings only seem to apply until the computer
computer is turned off. When I start the computer up again, anything goes...

2) I am frequently unable to delete folders and files from a DVD. When this
happes, I need to shut to shut the computer off and then the folders/files
can be deleted.

3) A third problem (yes, I know I only stated there were 2) is that every
few weeks I have to follow the instructions in
'http://nareshjois.wordpress.com/2007/12/14/cannot-select-multiple-files-in-vista/' to select multiple folders/files.

In my opinion, these are core functions that I use on a regular basis. Is
there anything I can do to get Explorer to work properly on a ongoing basis?

Ian
