Windows Explorer crushes

I just got a new Sony SZ notebook with preinstalled Vista Business system.
Each time I try to drag and drop a file from a jump drive to a hard drive
folder using Windows Explore it I am getting a message "Windows Explorer has
stopped working" then it mumbles something about trying to solve the problem
and then another message "Windows Explore is restarting", but nothing
happens, it crushes. The only workaround is to copy and past into folder.
Very annoying. Any solution???
