windows explorer has stoped working

every time i try to move a .mp4 file, or .divx file or some times just a
regular file i get the message windows exploere has stoped working. i havent
installed any programes that are not vista compadable. and it never gives me
a reason for why its doing it. i hurd the compleates about how much vista
sucked but i figured they where just being childish becuase they had to
switch again, but no it actualy sucks, and whats worse is you have to pay
microsoft to fix a problem they cuased.
if any one knows a free way to get help, (seeing as buying vista broke the
bank and i have no more money to get help for it) let me know.

When I bought my laptop it came with Vista on it, and I would get the
explorer message. I think that the problem has been fixed with the lastest
update, as it has stopped.

Since you're referencing DIVX and MP4, you're almost guaranteed to have
random multimedia software on the system. Most crashes in Windows these
days seem to come from bad third codecs. Knowing the fault data above (see
the link, or check the Problem Reports and Solutions Center control panel)
should enable me or someone else to potentially move you forward here.

And bad drivers. Nvidia is the leader in crashing the last I looked.
