windows explorer keep changing behavior

Sometime, i can click and drag a rectangle to select some files (just like
what i usually did in XP)
But sometime, the first click will make a file selected and when i drag,
that file will be moved....

And my recycle bin keep changing View, although each time i have changed to
Details view...
