windows explorer stop working

Hi,
recentley, whenever i click on the taskbar to teggle between the windows I
get no response thn an error message pops up sayin that windows expolrr has
stopped working and whether I choose to restart it or wait till it responds
back.
When I choose to restart, the taskbar dissappears for a couple of seconds
then the task br is restored till the incident is repeated again within 30
minutes or so.
I am running Vista Business 32 bit.
Can anyone help me out please?

Some Windows Vista functions may not work, or Windows Vista may stop

Thanks Mark,
I followed the steps as per the link you sent me,
Finally I got a message displayed on the elevated command prompt " Windows
Resource protection did not find any integrity violations"
Any further advice about the way frwar on resolving my initial problem?
