I am running Windows Vista Ultimate and have not adjusted the location of any
files that came preloaded on my Dell computer that is only two weeks old.

When Windows Fax and Scan gives the error message that it cannot run as it
cannot access my documents folder, how do I provide Windows Fax and Scan
access to my documents folder?

Hello,

*
http://www.vistax64.com/vista-print-...-scan-fax.html -
seems to be very weird.
* Try running Fax and Scan as Administrator (Right-click it -> Run as
administrator). Give SYSTEM and Administrator and your accounts full access
to the Documents folder.

Please tell us if any of these two helped.

Greetings,

I had alredy tried "running as administrator" to no avail. Same result.

I assume when you refer to the "Documents folder", you mean the Documents
folder under "users, my user account, Documents?

I right clicked that folder and gave sharing to System, Administraors and my
user account. Still no change.

I got my Windows Fax and Scan to work by trying this solution:

Did you relocate the Documents folder to a different drive (or to a network
path) lately? Also, are you able to access the Documents folder via the Start
menu link? I'm wondering if you're experiencing the problem as well. Click on
the Start button and in the pane at the right click on Documents. If nothing
happens go the the follwing website for solution to fix your problem.
