What anti-virus are you using?
And is it newly installed?
If it is a security suite, it will have its own Firewall.
At times, it can be a problem with commumication between the two.
Also, scan your system with these two programs, just to make sure it is
clean of Malware/Spyware:

Spybot Search & Destroy 1.6 is a very good, FREE Anti-Spyware Program.
Download, install, update, and immunize your System with it.
Then SCAN with it.
Update it, and scan your System once a fortnight.

Malwarebytes is as the name says, a Malware Remover!
