Does anyone know why the automatic update shield would appear when there are
no updates available for install?
The yellow shield appears with the massage "Updates are available for your
computer". Clicking on the shield brings up the Automatic Updates dialog
window where you can select Express or Custom installation. At the top of
this window it says "Windows found 0 updates". If you click the install
button it goes through the motions and brings a message saying "You have
successfully updated your computer" After closing this window the yellow
shield will reapers two seconds later.
