windows freezes after installing sp2

after my windows update download service pack 2 then installs it just fine
then wen its time to restart the computer windows freezes on where it says
windows in the middle of the screen and the purple bar goin left to right
under windows....anyone had this problems heeeeelllpp mmeeee...?
