still can't download.

I downloaded the file you suggested, but I only ran it, after which I still
couldn't download Genuine Advantage. Should I have saved it to my computer
first.

Run the WGA-Diagnostic Tool (named MGAdiag):

Then try WU again, if you still have problems,
downloand the file as before but save it to disk.

PS If you are referring to update 905474, then download and install:

Then re-boot Windows. Does this solve your problem?
