What is the nature of your internet connection? Cable? DSL? Dial-up?
Are you connected to the internet properly throughout the installation?
Do you have a third-party firewall installed which is capable of blocking
outgoing connection attempts? If so, please disable that third-party
firewall (run with Windows Firewall instead), then try the update again. If
you wish to re-instate your third-party firewall, please ensure that
wgatray.exe is permitted access to the internet.
After a reboot, open a command prompt window and type the command
wgatray /b
Does it hang or return to the user?
