Windows Genuine Advantage Validation

I downloaded this update and now windows will not load properly. I get to
the Windows logo and the system restarts at that point and continues to do
this over and over until I power off the system. I have a Gateway system
with the same XP liscense that I bought it with but I have updated multiple
components such as the CPU and Vid card for gaming and I've had to reload
windows a couple times because of that. Every time I've had to reload
windows it's wanted me re-register the system and I always have to phone in.
I used my system disk to repair and now it wants me to re-register once again
and when I phone in and give the validation key it says it's not recognized
and hangs up.

So what do I do now?

Use your System Restore point before the update. To find System Restore go
to start button, all programs, accessories, system tools, select System
Restore. Then restore to an earlier date.
