For those of us who have had problems updating twindowsvalidation tool I have
with the help of Microsoft support(telephone) found my problem which may be
the same for you. It was due to using PANDA anti virus and it needed a
hotfix from their site to cure the problem . The direct link is as follows
http://www.pandasoftware.com/support...ref=SopMonPlan

If you have Panda this may cure your problem

Do not uninstall Panda. Go to their site as my code showed. If you have
Panda Titinium etc there is a patch to download. Whilst downloading turnoff
Panda and close outlook etc. Download the patch and then restart PC etc. On
starting again re activate Panda. You will now find that the Validayion tool
will download correctly. Thanks to Microsodt advisor . Panda should have
notified all their customers of this problem as one does not normally visit
their page.
