windows hotmail account suddenly shutting down

In the last few days when I am in my hotmail account it lets me sign in and
maybe look at one or two email before suddenly just closing down. The entire
webpage dissapears and I am left sitting looking at my desktop. I can sign in
again no problems but am wondering why this is happening. This is both on my
PC at home and work.
