Windows Installer 3.1 and KB893803

Help! After doing a repair install of XP Pro, Update keeps telling me
that I need KB893803 (Installer 3.1)....it downloads but will not
install! What's up with this? How can I fix it? Any help out there?

Go to Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder and rename it, for
instance, to Donwload.old. Go to Windows Update again and see if it
downloads and gets installed.

Thanks Jose, but it did not work. Any more ideas?
