Windows Installer 3.1v2 KB893803v2.log (access denied)

I manually downloaded the exe and ran it since the normal update procedure
did not work.
Below is the %win log from the install. I had Home edition with no problems.
Updating to Professional I'm stuck and wish I never did.

Have you done a repair installation of Windows XP recently?

What applications are running in the background?

What's the file version of the msi.dll to be found in the
\Windows\System32 folder?
