Hi All,
I am looking for some help. I was having problems with installing IE7 and
after a lot of back and forth with microsoft, they suggested that I repair
WIndows XP. So, I did this but now I think I have an even bigger problem. I
cannot get Windows Installer 3.1 to install. It is downloaded but cannot be
installed. I am stumped. Any advice? While looking at the windows update log,
I see the following error code: 0x80241001. Please help! Thanks

WU_E_MSI_WRONG_VERSION = 0x80241001

Suggestions: download the latest WI and install it.

Windows Installer 3.1 Redistributable (v2)

Thanks TaurArian. I have already tried that but I get an access denied
message. I am using Comodo Firewall and AVG anti-virus.

Thanks.
