I know this may sound oversimplified, but I had the same problem. Firs
thing I would do would be to go to follow this link where the mos
obvious problem is addressed
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...8124523AA4vSda . I
this does not fix it, then there are other solutions there as well. Goo
luck

YO! Ben!

You are offering a solution to someone who quit posting about the
problem LAST OCTOBER.

Right. . . but when you do a search to try to solve the window
installer problem, this dialog shows up in the search. In all the posts
it does not address the simple first step that is addressed in the lin
that I posted. I had the exact same windows installer problem and had i
solved by the other discussion that I linked. I was just pointing futur
searchers in an optional direction

Then it would be better for you to quote exactly what you are replying
to so that folks out here in the REAL world of Usenet (not users of
that web-based interface) will know what you are talking about.

Notice all the users on that board that are "guest"? Those are all
people who don't use that interface. Their posts to Microsoft servers
have been scrounged by that board and mingled in with those from the
board's users.

Also take note how many of those "guests" make use of quoting (quotes
are boxed). It is the preferred method of replying, no matter what
interface is being used.

Sounds good. Thanks for the advice!

You're welcome. Here's some even better advice: dump that board and
come out into Usenet with the rest of us by using a newsreader. You
can access all the groups you see there and thousands more.

Windows Mail has a great built-in newsreader and it's simple to setup
for these groups:
