Windows Installer Failure XP HOME SP3

After installing SP3 I had a problem with Yahoo Mail. I have IE7 - AT&T Yahoo.
Putting in a send address failed to list the addresses that key on a name.
Problem
search stated "JAVA NEEDS TO BE TURNED ON". It was. Tried to download
updated JAVA and had "WINDOWS INSTALLER NOT AVAILABLE". Found a solution in
MSDN FORUMS (Postid=3441460&SiteID=1). Followed instr to point of "Download
Windows Live Installer" MS listing showed Ver 3. Didn't work. Found "what
others downloaded" Ver 4.x . Solved my problem, got Windows Installer back,
and took care of my Yahoo Mail.
