Windows Installer Missing

Hi,

I have windows 2000 professional. After interrupting the installation of a
program, I cannot install any programs on my system. Attempting to install
any program at all, gives an error that reads "windows installer is missing
or you are running in the safe mode...".

Any idea what is happening?

Not sure what happened, but you might try re-installing the installer. You
can pick up the Win2000 version here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

You may also need to first cleanup the failed installation of the program
that failed. Be sure to read the info on this prior to using:
