windows keeps automatically configuring updates every time I switc

...and it is a right nuisance cos it takes half an hour for it to complete
when all I want to do is read a quick e mauil etc. It was set at update
every day at 0300 as recommended ..I have rescheduled this to weekly but I
don't use the pc that much and I DONT want to leave it on overnight wasting
energy...
