Windows Keeps Rebooting After Update!

After the 4/12/05 updates I am not able to even get into the login screen. I
was playing a game when it updated by itself. The program closed and windows
automatically restarted. I let it run it's course and after the windows boot
screen it restarted again. I let it run and it kept continuing to restart.
I tried using safe mode and the last known good configuration but no success.
Is there any way I can save the data on my hard drive or fix this looping
boot error?
I know this isn't just happening to me because my roommate is having the
same problem. Please help.
Thanks - Jason Q.

Hi Jason,

I'm having identical problems. Windows auto updated now my PC constantly
reboots and will not load at all.

I removed the 'auto restart' option on the start up menu and now I'm getting
the 'Blue Screen of Death' with the 'fatal error message ' coooo21a.

Can anyone PLEASE HELP!!

I've just installed the lates updates including Win Installer 3.1 and my
computer (in the other room) is dead. It repeatedly reboots from a blue
screeen. On an F8 boot it says the "session manager initiazation process
terminated". Rebooting from last good profile doesn't help.
PLEASE HELP!!

If you would like to save the information on your hard drive you should do a
system recovery with the windows xp cd. Going to the repair counsole is
different then doing a system recovery. After you boot from the Windows xp
Cd hit enter to enter setup and then F8 to agree then 'R' for Recover. Then
select the windows you want to revocer. It will look like a clean install
(your original desktop items will be gone), but at least all the information
will still be on your hard drive. As for your original documents and desktop
features, they will be in the 'documents and settings' in your C:
