windows live 9 scanning all files

is there any way to disable the scanning of all files when they are sen
to you in msn

i understand its to stop that msn virus and people accepting an
infecting their pc.. for one i have nod32 which stops these files 2.
never accept the files i can tell when its a virus, i rather be able t
turn it off and not scan every file before it accepts it and when i tr
send so it doesent do that continue thing when is end it, i dont sen
viruses

i disabled the checking for files with.. virus and still it does i

I'm actually in the position to test this just right now, but I can tell you it certainly
doesn't scan if there's nothing setup.
However, was it the OneCare scanner that you're given an option to installing the one you
were using?

Regardless, not having a scanner setup in Messenger will block certain functions (like
receiving zips, rars, executables, etc.), so it is recommended that you have at least
something set up to bypass that restriction.
