Windows Live Call - VoIP

Yesterday I was able to connect my Philips VoIP 433 phone to Messenger 8.1.
I downloaded my contacts to the phone and was able to sign on and off WLM
via the phones interface.

Today I decided to try to make a VoIP call and the phone gives me an error
message "PC Not Running Software" - basically it can't see that Messenger is
up and running. It won't let me do any of the things I could do yesterday
cause it can't see that WLM is up and running.

If I click on the phone icon in the top window area I get a WLM error "There
is a problem accessing this feature. Please try reinstalling Windows Live
Messenger to fix this error."

I have four times now and the phone still does not see that Messenger is
running and I continue to get the same error from WLM when clicking on the
phone icon.

The 433 is recognized by Vista and Vista drivers are installed properly.
Under Sound, video and game controllers I have an entry for Philips VOIP433
with 5 different drivers installed. So I'm at a lost.

Yesterday when I first installed the phone I had a message box appear and I
checked the box to allow the phone to make calls. The little phone icon
then appeared in the system tray. Today it's gone and I haven't been able
to get it back through all of the reinstalls, the message box has never come
up again and the phone icon has not returned to the system tray. I told
this is how I can tell Messenger that the phone is allowed to make calls.

Anybody got any ideas out there on how to get this to work again?

Thanks.

Well, I did a system restore and got it back working. Makes no sense as no
changes were made between last night and this afternoon.
