Windows Live closes for no reason when chatting

I would be chatting to a friend or family member, when a pop-up comes up
saying that windows live has to close, this is very annoying and then I
cannot sign back in, I have to wait for about 1/2 hour and then retry, please
tell me what is the cause of this? When I am not chatting no pop-ups appear,
its only when I start to chat that this happens.
