I'm having an issue with only one account and that's a hotmail account that
I created after MSN stopped allowing us to use Outlook Express as our email
client. I am not able to access my mail with Outlook Express, but I'm able
to use Windows Live Mail on the web with it, but it won't allow me to access
my account with Windows Live Mail Desktop either. The only way for new
hotmail accounts to be able to use Outlook Express is to make those accounts
premium accounts. The email account that you are trying to use with Windows
Live Mail Desktop, were you able to use Outlook Express to retrieve email?
If not or if you haven't tried, this could be the reason why you aren't able
to retrieve mail with a hotmail account. Windows Live Mail account is still
a hotmail account if you aren't paying for it.
Bottom line...Windows Live Mail Desktop is a juiced up version of Outlook
Express...My opinion of course, but I think this is what the problem is.
