""The most important thing is the Live platform." - Ballmer: Windows Live Is
Top Microsoft Priority

Oh! Yeah?

Well... If The LIVE Platform Is SO IMPORTANT Then, Why Isn't The Windows
Live Newsgroup Filled-Out, Expanded For The Windows Live Services Currently
Available???

Maybe because

a) The backwards nature of newsgroups are 'old' technology while the 'new'
tech of Windows Live has them wanting to find a more modern type of
community?
b) People like you, who can't seem to follow proper grammar rules, scare
them off?

Well, obviously he wasn't sure so he asked.

Now, you have no reason to believe I know a thing, but, general newsgroups
in high traffic areas, such as public newsgroups, turn into a horrid mess.
You would find that even tho a number of newsgroups for specific live
products exist, those newsgroups would slowly be used less and less and all
the traffic would be funneled into the general newsgroup, causing a general
mess of a situation where people will find it difficult to find what they
want to see.

For my cite: See the microsoft.public.windowsxp.* hierarchy.

As I Have Posted Before, Windows Live Spaces Is The "NEW", Newsgroups...

e.g. http://theoceanviewnet.spaces.live.com/

Err, indeed. So, again, since Live Spaces is, as you say 'The "NEW",' why
would you want an old technology such as a newsgroup to discuss it? That's
akin to putting a Model T engine into a Ferrari. Not that I'd consider
Spaces to be a ferrari mind you. Your page seemed to hang my IE7 for a good
2 minutes trying to load.

Thank you, no. I don't think I shall. Perhaps you should give me a reason
to leave.

I'm sure you do.

Now, what is your issue with Windows Live Messenger, or what would you like
to discuss about it?

My "Issue" Is The SAME ISSUE I've Posted About Here, In The Windows Live
Messenger NewsGroup, (For Lack of a BETTER PLACE To Post It), ...FOR MONTHS:

Why Isn't There a Windows.Live.General NewsGroup?

???

Because there isn't one.

Since Microsoft rarely reads the majority of the microsoft.public.*
newsgroups, maybe you'd be better off addressing the question you have using
the Contact Us link on the http://www.microsoft.com pages. If you need help
figuring out what address to mail, feel free to ask and I'm sure one of us
would be glad to help you.

Otherwise, you could read my messages and perhaps get an understand about
why there isn't a microsoft.public.windows.live.general newsgroup.

For what it's worth, I just looked at all posts going back to 7/13 (in other
words, I went back "MONTHS") and I don't see one message from you bemoaning
the lack of a microsoft.public.windows.live.general newsgroup.

I do, however, see quite a few posts from you discussing how the whole
'downloading' thing is dead and that the future is in just *viewing* data.
Well, I hate to say it but newsgroups, Microsoft's horrific web interface
excepted, are downloaded. Heck, even your viewing the newsgroup via a web
based interface still downloads data to your computer. It might not be as
easily worked with as a real newsreader, but it is still most definitely
downloaded to your computer.
