I was trying the new Windows Live Mail Beta, uninstalled it and
reinstalled the stable version.

I now get this error message when I try to open Live Mail:

"Windows Live Mail could not be started because one of its libraries
could not be found. Windows Live Mail may not be installed correctly."

I have uninstalled and reinstalled but I still get this error.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

System Restore is the best solution. Using the backup you created before
installing the Beta would be second. In the absence of both options, I would
reinstall the Beta, then try the downgrade again.

When experimenting with a beta program - any program from "any"
manufacturer - you must accept the fact that unforeseen consequences *may*
occur. The result of these consequences may result in you having to trouble
shoot your installation and extend to the likelihood that you *may* have to
reload your operating system.

People who experiment with betas (I do) take the precaution of creating a
system image "prior" to loading the beta. Then, if there are problems or you
just don't like the software, you can revert to the image you have just
created and install the next beta for testing

I suggest you revert to the image you created before you installed the
Windows Live Mail Beta.
