Windows Live Mail - sync is slow

It seems every time I hit F5or start up Mail, "all message download" is very
slow?

I know, I do not have any messages, but one (1), on Gmail, but it looks
forever?

How can this be fixed??

Syncing mail depends on your connection, if you are doing anything else then
it may take longer as you are using bandwidth, what's happening on the
server side, if the google servers are under undue load at the particular
time you are trying to sync etc.
There's no real way of speeding things up I'm afraid, except to lighten your
bandwidth during syncs.

Thanks for the reply.

I did try one thing and it improved the download speed - sync Headers only.
