Hi.

I was using wlm 14.0.5027 (Beta) until i want the old one back. So i
entered the "Your Uninstaller" then tried to find the uninstaller of wlm
9 beta. But there wasn't.

I entered Add/Remove (sorry i m using turkish version) Panel but there
was no uninstaller wlm 9. beta and still is not. Then i downloaded the
old one and try to install. But it said "you have a newer version bla
bla bla".

Then i removed Windows Live folder forever. But i still cant install
the old one and the wlm 14.0.5027 (Beta) that i used about 3 hours
before...

Now i don't know what to do. Coz i tried to find a solution about the
last three hours but still no answers founded.

Can anyone help me about that?

You can use CCleaner to remove it. The Messenger Beta is listed under the
list of programs that can be uninstalled. The uninstaller will automatically
be lauched if you use CCleaner to remove the program.

I tried that and it was not on that either. If you have CCleaner you can run
the registry cleaner and you will find a bunch of messenger stuff there but
even removing that did not let me install 8.5. I used Windows Install Clean
Up and after that I was able to reinstall 8.5. But one of the wheels here
will have to give you the link to download Windows Install Clean Up.

Hi,

You could also remove it by clicking Start, then Run (if not using Vista) and entering the
following:
msiexec /x {B1403D7D-C725-4858-AACC-7E5FA2D72859}
and press Enter.

Although, since the original poster has already removed the folder, Messenger may need to be
reinstalled first for a successful uninstall.

The Windows Installer cleanup would also work as suggested (although albeit not as clean as a
method), which can be found here:

Really? It worked for me though. I had used CCleaner to remove the beta and
install back 8.5.
