Greetings,

I would like to know , how to configure Windows Live Messenger 2009, so that
users behind a ISA2004 proxy, can sign-in to the Messenger. I have allowed
appropriate rules in ISA2004, but users are unable to sign-in using Live
Messenger 2009.

I have installed the Live Messenger in my PC, and I do not see any proxy
setting option.

Anyone else have this problem?

Please feedback.

Thank you.

Greetings,

I won't lie, it's been awhile since I had to deal with ISA, but could you point to what rules
you're specifying (assuming there's a web link)? It is highly possible what you're using is
out of date.

Messenger uses IE's proxy settings though.

Greetings,

The rules in ISA 2004 allow all Internet access to any website, no HTTP
filtering.
However , I am unable to sign-in using Windows Live Messenger 2009.

Please feedback.

Hi,

What about SSL? Messenger requires HTTP and HTTPS as a bare minimum.

Simple reason for that. WLMessenger is not supported with the 2004 version of ISA
