Hi Junior,

I too, just got the update. However, I was signed in, during the update
installation. It signed me out and supposely installed, but never restarted,
so I rebooted the computer, where the installation process continued and
finished. Then it signed me back in.

Right now, with the exception that I needed to rebooted, possibly
because McAfee VirusScan was still running, because I forgot to disable it.

Responding from Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2.

Hi,

Well the update does nothing apparently, but why it error'd for you should be investigated.

I was told to install this update via Microsoft Update, and so I did,
however, after I restarted the computer, it came up with an error saying that
it couldn't find the install package that it supposedly downloaded. I did a
search for it but I couldn't find it, so I'm just downloading the setup
program from Windows Live Betas right now, and see if that works.

I too tii received an error after successfully installing the update within
Vista, and an option to repair which I did. This had no effect, however,
after a reboot all was well again. Could it be that there should have been an
additional enforced reboot in the update process at the end of the install?

Regards.

OFF-TOPIC:
Can someone explain me this sentence?
They "test" if the Vista-Updater works?
