Hello again.
ok, I followed each step carefully, uninstalled everything you mentioned,
rebooted the deleted the contents of the temp folders you said, then
downloaded the installer and then installed it.
the problem is still there though, no matter what picture I choose, it
always reverts back to the one I had on to start with when I log in the next
time.
this problem is beginning to frustrate me, is there nothing else that could
be causing it?
