Windows Live Messenger Beta does not work with MSN Direct

The latest beta of Windows Live Messenger will not send messages to a Smart
Watch. I rolled back to the latest production version and it continues to
work OK.

Works here right now on 8.1, although the entire MSN Direct feature has been hit or miss for
the past few weeks.

Thanks, Jonathan. Since I have it working again with the Windows Live
Messenger production version, I am going to hold off moving back to the beta.
I know what you mean about the hit or miss MSN Direct messaging function.
It was flat down for more than two weeks.
