Greetings,
As already mentioned, CC Cleaner will probably fix you up, but to correctly uninstall
applications, you need to do so from Add or Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features
(Vista) in the control panel.
Additionally, you could manually uninstall Messenger without any third party applications by
clicking Start, then Run (if not using Vista) and entering:
msiexec /x {B1403D7D-C725-4858-AACC-7E5FA2D72859}
