Hi, I have Windows Vista. Just installed Windows Live Messenger for my son.
Everything went well with the download and installation, but when I tried to
sign in, WIndows closes the program and gives me the report, that the
solution is to change the DEP. When I tried to change the DEP for msnmsgr,
Windows told me that for this program I cannot turn the DEP off.
Please help me with a solution how to start the messenger
Thanks

Hi mel,

what you should do for this case is to right click on live messenger and run
as administrator it will work and another way...

Re: Windows Live Messenger shuts down as soon as I try signing in
Hello Wintersnow,

There seems to be a few solutions to this problem, try this first.

1. start menu
2. computer
3. double click C drive (or drive you installed vista
4. double click program files
5. double click MSN messenger
6. right click msnmsgr
7. properties
8. compatibility- change TO: run this program as an administrator

If this does not work, open a CMD as admin, (this will show you how).
Elevated Command Prompt

Copy and paste this.

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

Hit enter and try.

giv me a feedback bhavesh-
