Windows Live Messenger disconects every few minutes

My sister's Messenger get disconnected every 5 minutes, and need to sign on
again. This is very annoying. She is using the latest Messenger v.8.
Anyone can help?

Greetings Jason,

Is your sister using a router? If so, it may require a firmware update from the router
manufacturer as this is usually the cause and solution to this problem.
