windows live messenger goes not signIn

From yesterday live messenger does not allow me to sign in. It does not allow
me to change the password on the sigin page (it is disable). I tired
uninstalling and installing but in vain. I deleted the host file and repaired
registry, but still does not work. I tired the older version of window
messenger it works, and while being sigin in from the windows messenger if I
try to use live messenger, it would sign off me from windows messenger. I
have done connection testing from live messenger it says connected to server
and while using connection troubleshooter, it says hosts file error, it
repair it but does not work.
