Windows Live Messenger has stopped working. HELP!!!

I have a new computer and it has VISTA installed. Every time I try to run
Windows live messenger I get the error message " A problem caused the program
to stop working correctly." Windows will close the program and notify you if
a solution is available. Can any one help me fix this issue?

Have you tried reinstalling Windows Live Messenger (WLM)? WLM does have this
problem and I have managed to sort the similar problem only by reinstalling
WLM.

Hi Nish,

Yes, I have tried reinstalling the Windows live messenger, I have also
disabled Java, and installed Explorer vs. 7. I have also ran the program as
adminstrator and it is still not working.

Hi Nish,

Yep, I tried reinstalling, I have also tried disabling Java, running Live
messenger in administrator mode, installed Explorer vs. 7 and to date I can’t
get Windows Live Messenger to work on my Vista computer.

Thank you for your suggestion anyway. Do you have any more suggestion I can
try?

What computer do you have? i had the same problem with an Acer. Solution is:
Update eDatasecurity to 2.5.3032.

MSN Messenger File Transfer Encryption is incompatible with old eDatasecurity.

In my live messenger I do not have any longer the games, I got the message "
there are not available activities or games " but in any other pc in the
house is ok but in this one.
