Windows Live Messenger installation

I downloaded WLM but when it goes to insall it says I am not the
administrator. I just bought this laptop with Visa preinstalled. I am the
only user, and it shows I am the administrator. Any suggestions?

Hi Diane,

Did you create a new User Id account in Visa, as a Computer
Administrator, when you got this computer? If not, create a new User ID and
assign it as a Computer Administrator. Log into it and after you import my
Documents, Favorites and Address Book, delete the other account.

Then download Windows Live Messenger and try again. Or just create a new
User ID as a Computer Administrator and download and install Windows Live
Messenger and see what happens. Then transfer your files before you delete
the other one.

I did set up a new account when I got the computer. I went to the Control
Panel and selected user accounts. There is just one. It says "Diane" and
under my name it says "Administrator". --

Hi Diane,

Did you remember to disable or turn off your Anti-Virus and
Anti-Spyware, plus Windows Defender, before you installed the newest
version?

Did you uninstall your current version first? That is, was one currently
installed?
