Windows Live Messenger with LiveCam VX-6000 on MCE 2005

Hello All,

Please help.

I get a "You cannot use a Video Call and Send your webcam at the same time."
error message when trying to launch a Video Call in Windows Live Messenger
8.1 (Build 8.1.0178.00).

I do not have any other programs running that would be using the LiveCam,
and have no issues conducting a video call if initiated by another party.

I am running Windows Live Messenger with LiveCam VX-6000 on MCE 2005 SP2,
Roll-up 2.

I have the same cam and had the same problem....

This option worked for me....!

Go to Control Panel.....Uninstall a Program....uninstall Windows Live
Messenger.

Go to the following link...and download an EARLIER version of Windows Live
Messenger.

Note: I installed Version 8 (Build 8.0.0812.00).

Install your downloaded version and hopefully yours should be OK too

I reverted to Windows Live Messenger 8.0 (Build 8.0.0812.00) and all's well.

That version can be downloaded from
