I didn't install any new software so I don't think there is anything
preventing the changes. Although, just before this happened I was getting
some weird messages about the MSN server and not being able to logon, but I
was logged on. I'm thinking I have more of an issue with the permissions of
wherever the data is attempted to be written (the registry or a cookie or
some other file). I noticed that IE7's temporary file location was nearly
full so increased that size as well. Didn't seem to make a difference.
