When you're appearing offline, Sharing Folders aren't updated so that would explain that.
The sharing folder features is dependent on NTFS USN (part of the file system) feature which
if it's encountering a big problem, is a low-level kernel driver that could blue screen the
system. As a test, click Start, then Run, enter "cmd" and click OK. Then in the command
prompt, type the following:
chkdsk /f
and press enter. Press y to schedule the check for the next reboot and then reboot for it to
automatically scan and correct any file system problems.
