windows live messenger not responding.

My windows live messenger (or any older msn messenger) does not work. when i
sign in just after it signs me in it stops working and windows gives a "not
responding" error. I have tried doing everything, uninstalling, deleting
registry entries, doing %appdata%/microsoft and deleting msn messenger
folder... i have now even reinstalled windows. Also my windows is up to date.
I would apreciate if someone can help me out..
Iam using windows xp.

Have you tried unplugging your network cable (assuming you're not using dialup) and any
webcam you have connected? Although a rare event, some webcam drivers and some router/modem
firmware has been known to cause this behavior, especially since you've reinstalled Windows
this seems likely for you.

Hello Jonathan,
It seems you answer to msn questions on every forum
Thank you so much live messenger is working fine now.. I just changed the
SSID of my wireless network and it started working. I guess you had to
re-start the router.
