Hi,

I connect to a WIFI and it seems that I am connected but when I try to
access to any Web pages it does not run and when I try to use Messenger I
get the 80072ee7 and the 81000388 error. To avoid causes I have unistalled
the antivirus (AVG Free Edition) and I have disabled Windows Firewall (I
don't have any other firewall nor antivirus). May anyone please help me?

Thanks in advance

80072ee7 ....The most likely cause for this problem is that your firewall
does not allow Messenger to access the internet. This happens often if you
install a new version of Messenger. Make sure Messenger is allowed access in
your firewall rules.
81000388 is apparently linked to Netgear routers. It is suggested
downloading the latest firmware but i suggest you check with netgear before
going down this route, I also suggest you re-enable both your antivirus and
firewall or you will have a lot more problems than just not being able to
connect to Messenger if you leave them disabled.
Comodo firewall is free as are a number of others which are far better than
the one shipped with windows.

Hi,

Many thanks, the problem was the DNSs,
that is to say, a ping to www.google.com didn't work but a un ping to a IP
did work perfectly, therefore the solution was assign the DNS manually.
Apologies for my poor English

Regards!!
